Netflix game is starting to be tested for users in Poland

Netflix game begins to be tested for users in Poland. However, this is only an initial beta test, but it doesn’t sound too revolutionary.

For years now, everyone has been expecting to see a “Netflix of gaming”. Stadia was highly expected to succeed, but it was not. Microsoft’s Xbox Cloud Gaming comes closest, but still has significant limitations. When Netflix was getting into the game, we thought this would be it: the Netflix of the game.

Netflix game is starting to be tested for users in Poland

So far, however, the new service looks pretty impressive. Netflix has confirmed on Twitter that it is testing the first Netflix games in Poland. Those with a Netflix account in Poland can fire up the Netflix Android app and access two live games: Stranger Things 1984 and Stranger Things 3.

However, unlike the videos you watch on Netflix. You don’t stream these games. Instead, tapping on a game in the Netflix app just takes you to the Google Play Store. You download the title there as usual and then launch it from within the Netflix app. You cannot launch the game as a standalone application. This means that “Netflix games” is just a glorified game launcher that locks titles in the app. That doesn’t seem revolutionary.

These are “very, very early days,” the company said. Maybe things will change a lot by the time the service officially launches. However, this does not seem to be too interesting. It’s nice to know, though, that these games will be free with your Netflix subscription and won’t have any ads or in-app purchases.

TeraBox is a free alternative to other cloud storage solutions

Have you heard of TeraBox?

We have hundreds, thousands of photos and videos stored on our phones, computers, tablets, etc. It is the precious memories of you and your loved ones on important occasions and beautiful places. You probably don’t want to lose them just because your computer is broken or your phone is lost. That is the reason for the appearance of cloud storage services. All cloud storage solutions on the market offer a basic set of services. That includes a specific amount of storage space, easy access to files and the ability to share files with other users.

One of the main differences between these cloud storages is the amount of free storage they offer.

Google Photos has been a longtime favorite for its unlimited free storage. Now, however, any photos you upload will be deducted from 15GB of space on your Google account shared with your Gmail and Google Drive. And when that space is used up, you’ll need to pay $29.99 a year if you want to upgrade to 200GB.

But don’t worry, a bunch of new cloud storage products have entered the market. We have some familiar names like OneDrive and Dropbox by Microsoft. And now there’s a promising new product that could be the best free cloud storage provider. That’s TeraBox.

It offers users 1TB (1024GB) of free storage forever. It is also fully compatible with Android, iOS and desktop computers. And it can sync your files seamlessly across your devices.

1TB of free space is equivalent to carrying around a high-capacity hard drive on you at all times. That amount of space can store hundreds of thousands of photos, or thousands of high-quality videos.

Let’s compare the costs a bit. Dropbox offers 2GB of free space. To upgrade to 1TB, you need to pay $9.99 per month. OneDrive is slightly better priced, offering 5GB of free space. The $1.99 per month subscription fee will buy you an extra 100GB of space. TeraBox may be the only cloud storage solution that offers 1TB of free storage.

If 1TB of free space is not enough for you. You can upgrade to 2TB for $2.99 per month. Google Drive also offers a 2TB subscription, but at $9.99 per month.

One issue to consider with cloud storage solutions is the file size limit. Users of TeraBox’s free service can upload files up to 4GB in size. And subscribers can upload files up to 20GB. TeraBox’s sharing functionality has no file size limit. So no matter how large the file is, it can easily be shared with other users.

Google Chrome updates: get speed, design and music control

Have you ever close tabs accidentally while browsing multiple tabs?
And you a can restore the tabs with a “reopen closed tabs” button in Chrome. And now, Google Chrome have confirmed that this feature is getting faster later this year.

It’s all part of Google’s efforts to improve the browser’s built-in caching system. Google has been working on “back-forward cache”, as we reported recently, to improve overall browsing performance by keeping a page alive after you navigate away from it. It will load almost instantly, thanks to the caching if you attempt to open the closed tab again

The back-forward cache first debuted on Android in Chrome 87 and it’s slowly rolling out to users in the stable channel of the desktop client. Using the tech behind back-forward caching, Google is now working on a new feature called “Closed Tab Cache”.

This will allow you to reopen closed tabs almost instantly as the whole page except for some JavaScript elements like ads is kept entirely in memory. In a post on Chromium Gerrit, Google confirmed that they have added a Chrome flag for “ClosedTabCache” to help devs and users test the feature.

“Add a chrome://flag for ClosedTabCache. This patch adds a flag to enable closed tab cache on the desktop to make it easier for testing,” Google noted.

At the moment, if you close a tab and reopen it using the “Reopen closed tab” option, the page is loaded again. Google Chrome is planning to make the closed tabs button almost instant with caching support. As part of the update, Chrome will freeze the page’s assets and store them in the memory for a short time.

On the other hand, Chrome’s “BackForwardCache” will load your pages instantly when you use Chrome’s Back and Forward buttons.

Chrome design improvements

Google is also working on a new modern design for Chrome.

Chrome will be getting various UI changes as part of the design refresh. The redesigned settings page are quite a few noticeable changes but it looks familiar. For instance, Google has replaced the material blue colours with a proper dark or solid white background.

Rounded corners and Chrome icon are now front and center on the settings page.

As you can see in the above screenshot, the design changes are more visible in a light mode where the material blue colour has been replaced with white. Overall, the old and new UI look largely the same and you’ll notice some differences only if you carefully compare the two versions.

Media playback controls

Chrome received the new media playback controls last year and it’s slowly getting new features and improvements. In the latest Chrome Canary build, Google has added a mute button to the global media playback controls.

You can mute the audio from any tab of the browser.

Google will also release a modern interface for media controls hidden to everyone later this year.

Ready for 5 upcoming phones: iPhone 13, Galaxy S22 Ultra, and more

To the phone enthusiast, it’s such a great time. Beside iPhone 13, there are multi great upcoming phones are ready.
Let’s take a look and round up some of the devices we’re keeping a particular eye on.

1. Apple iPhone 13

First, we have Apple’s upcoming phones! As it has been the traditional reveal month for the flagship line, we’re expecting the iPhone 13 to make its big reveal this September.
Beyond a slick new sunset gold color, we’re not expecting many big physical changes. But we may see a shallower notch on the front as well as integrated Touch ID. It would be a great workaround for unlocking the phone while wearing a face mask while the best current alternative requires also having an Apple Watch.

2. Samsung Galaxy S22 Ultra

Much of the overall Samsung rumor mill has centered on the just-confirmed Galaxy Z Fold 3 and Galaxy Z Flip 3 foldable phones and there aren’t a ton of rumors about the next generation of the Samsung’s Galaxy S22 series. So the phone isn’t expected until next year, historically around February or March. But there are at least a few renders purporting to show big changes to Samsung’s high-end phone.

It seems like the S22’s upgrades could be more focused around the camera. With teases from Samsung’s own social accounts hinting at a whopping 200-megapixel image sensor. That’d be the greatest resolution we’ve seen so far on a phone and will likely go a long way in improving the quality on those huge 30x and 100x zoom images that you can take on the current Galaxy S21 Ultra.

Speaking of zoom, the S22 Ultra is also rumored to get a continuous optical zoom, rather than set 3x or 10x optical zoom lenses to switch between.

3. Google Pixel 6

Google’s Pixel 6 line got an early reveal this month, confirming a brand-new design that showcases a camera bar along the back. Breaking from its tradition of doing a base and XL model, the Pixel 6 will be joined by the Pixel 6 Pro — the latter including a telephoto lens.

The Pixel 6 has some major camera upgrades of its own, including a better image sensor that can capture 150% more light. More light often means better photos, particularly in low-light situations. The Pro model is also confirmed to include a 4x optical zoom.

4. Samsung Galaxy S21 FE

While we are certainly looking ahead to next year’s Galaxy S22 line, there is still likely to be one more addition to the Galaxy S21 line to look forward to. We’re expecting a sequel to the Galaxy S20 FE, the “Fan Edition” lower-priced phone that included many of the Galaxy S20’s best features. That sequel, which we presume will be called the Galaxy S21 FE, could arrive this fall as a cheaper alternative to the higher-end phones expected to hit the market at the same time.

5. Microsoft Surface Duo 2

Microsoft’s Surface Duo is a quirky dual-screen device which CNET’s Scott Stein found to be a bit hit and miss. Interesting hardware, but awkward software and a lack of apps that can take advantage of two screens means it didn’t exactly take the mobile world by storm after its debut last year.

So what can we expect from its replacement? Purported Surface Duo 2 leaks point to a triple rear camera setup and more high-end internal specs, including 5G connectivity. Improved photography and data speeds could go some way toward making up for issues with that first edition of the dual screen device, but Microsoft will also need to step up the software support to take better advantage of the phone’s unique design.

Which you are into in those upcoming phones? Give us your opinion!
