FACEBOOK: No more “Like” Button for Pages and rolls out new features

Facebook recently announced about new update on Facebook Pages to make it simpler for creators; to build their community and achieve their business objectives. The removal of the ‘Like’ button on the Facebook Page is a significant change to its experience. It will simplify the way people connect with their favourite Pages and put the focus on Followers. “Unlike Likes, Followers of a Page represent the people who can receive updates from Pages, which helps give public figures a stronger indication of their fan base,” Facebook says. Creators will have a better indication of how many people receive updates from their Pages through the changes.

Other updates will include a new intuitive layout, dedicated News Feed, easier navigation between a personal profile and Pages, actionable insights, safety features, and a new feature where creators can host an engaging Q&A to their followers. Like on Instagram, The Q&A update will let users engage with their fans when they ask questions in Stories. So creators speak to their Facebook followers about the topics that interest their fans in a fun and engaging way.

A dedicated News Feed for Page will allow it to make conversations with other Pages, public figures, and Groups on trending content. To brands, advertisers and influencers, this feature could benefit on their new product launches and brand announcements.

Another outstanding update is the new integrity and safety features. It make Page creators identify posts and comments from authentic Pages and profiles easier. “We want Facebook to be a safe place to connect with fans, so we’ve improved our ability to detect activity that isn’t allowed on our platform including hate speech, violent, sexual or spammy content and impersonation,” Facebook adds.

Cyberpunk 2077-Themed Transforms The Look Of The OnePlus 8T

OnePlus has revealed a Cyberpunk 2077-themed 8T that looks very wild and it looks completely different from the standard OnePlus 8T. However, the phone is only available for pre-order in China. With costs CNY 3,999 (~ $600).

The highly anticipated Cyberpunk 2077 action-adventure RPG from CD Projekt Red was delayed until December 10, but smartphone maker OnePlus didn’t do it with the special edition OnePlus 8T.

The OnePlus 8T Cyberpunk 2077 Edition will be limited to OnePlus fans in China, debuting there on Nov. 11.

The Cyberpunk 207 OnePlus 8T is a marketing exercise through-and-through. So don’t expect this edition to have any other specs than the OnePlus 8T. Instead, it’s all about the cool new style.

Cyberpunk 2077-Themed Transforms The Look Of The OnePlus 8T

The phone has plenty of aesthetics to match the visual tones of the upcoming game, such as striking yellow accents and the Cyberpunk 2077 logo on the bottom of the phone. And they using the black and yellow color to highlight the buttons, sides, and corners on the phone. But the biggest highlight is its huge camera module, which takes up most of the width of the back of the phone.

Perhaps the most striking design change of this edition is the camera module. It has been blended into a large glass panel taking up the top of the device. It prevents the 8T from looking a lot like the Galaxy S20 Plus. The rest of the phone has a textured, carbon fiber-style design, and some Cyberpunk 2077 branding. It differs significantly from the standard OnePlus 8T. The software also has some Cyberpunk 2077 themed highlights, including custom tones and backgrounds. The phone also has two special camera filters, “Night City” and “North California,” along with a special box that comes with a case to protect the device, and some Cyberpunk 2077 pins too.

This limited edition’s specs are similar to the OnePlus 8T. It has a 120Hz display, a Qualcomm Snapdragon 865 processor, 12GB of LPDDR4X RAM, 256GB of storage, and a 4,500mAh battery.

Pre-orders will go live on Nov. 4 with a final release coming on Nov. 11. Currently, there is no news about the global release.

Facebook Finally Rollout Dark Mode Feature On IOS

It has been 400 days since Apple first introduced dark mode in iOS 13. Dark Mode for Facebook finally appears to be rolling out for iOS users globally after months of delay and stop-start testing.

Dark Mode for Facebook app first surfaced in April and by June a small percentage of users had access to the setting. So we expected that the company was gradually rolling out the feature for testing purposes.

However, propagation has been glacially slow ever since, and it’s only in the last couple of days that more and more users report that they’re seeing the option under Settings & Privacy within the app’s Menu tab.

Check out your Facebook app now and try its new DarkMode:

Facebook Dark Mode1. Make sure that your Facebook app is the lastest version one.
2. In Facebook’s interface, tap menu tab (the three line on the bottom-right)
3. Tap <Setting & Privacy)
4. Look for new Dark Mode option
5. Turn it on to change the app to Dark Mode

Confirmation that ‌Dark Mode‌ is rolling out in earnest on iOS and Android came courtesy of app hacker Jane Manchun Wong, who made a video in collaboration with Facebook and shared it on Twitter.

On the Facebook’s website, ‌Dark Mode‌ has been available for a while now. Messenger and Instagram – the two Facebook’s app have long featured ‌‌Dark Mode‌‌. So it’s unclear why the company’s flagship app took longer to gain the feature.

Google’s Gmail app was the last major app to get ‌Dark Mode‌, following a similar patchy rollout beset by inconsistent functionality.
