APPLE’S LEAKED IPHONE 12 DESIGN COMES TO LIFE IN STUNNING NEW IMAGES

We’ve all seen the iPhone 12 Pro rendered time and time again. But the iPhone 12 hasn’t received nearly as much focus. This year, however, the iPhone 12 might be the bigger news. For the first time in a long time, Apple is going to release a flagship iPhone. It’ll have the same design as the larger iPhone 12 model. But it’ll have a 5.4-inch display instead of a 6.1-inch display like the larger of the two iPhone 12 models.

The smaller new iPhone 12 will be great for people looking for a new iPhone that fits more comfortably in the hand. And now a blog called Svetapple has created a series of renders that show the iPhone 12 in a wide range of different colors. It’s still unclear which colors Apple is planning for its next-gen iPhones. But check out all the possibilities in the image below and on Svetapple.

IPHONE 12 DESIGN – Apple fans have plenty to be excited about this coming fall, but there’s also some bad news mixed in.

Where good news is concerned. A recent leak suggests that there are a slew of new Apple products on the verge of being unveil. In addition to four new iPhones — two iPhone 12 models and two iPhone 12 Pro models — Apple will reportedly unveil new iPads. New Apple Watch Series 6 models, a new bundle of Apple services. A new fitness service that will includ in that services bundle. And the first two Mac computers ever to be power by ARM-based processors of Apple’s own design.

The bad news is that manufacturing delays caused by the novel coronavirus pandemic mean. That the iPhone 12 isn’t going to be released on time in late September. Apple said on its most recent earnings call that the iPhone 12 release will be push back by a few weeks. But we’re now hearing that might not tell the whole story. At least one report from a reliable leaker says that. Apple’s two iPhone 12 models will indeed hit store shelves in mid-October as Apple said. But the iPhone 12 Pro and iPhone 12 Pro Max won’t be released until November.

None of these details have confirm by Apple yet at this point. But the company isn’t exactly known for keeping its plans a secret. And speaking of plans that aren’t a secret. We’ve known for almost a year now that Apple’s upcoming iPhone 12 and iPhone 12 Pro phones will feature Apple’s first big iPhone redesign since the iPhone X debuted in 2017.

Apple: New iPhone 12 Release Revealed

Apple admits the iPhone 12 release is running late. But it now looks like the wait will be longer than the company suggested.

This news comes from 2020’s breakout Apple insider Jon Prosser, who states the iPhone 12 launch event may be as much as a month late, with pre-orders and shipping delayed for iPhone 12 Pro models until November. If correct (and Prosser has a 100% release record this year), it would expose Apple CFO Luca Maestri’s recent comments that the new iPhones are running “a few weeks later [than usual]” as overly optimistic.

For context, Apple has announced, opened pre-orders and shipped 14 of its last 15 iPhones in September and pre-orders have historically opened a week before the phones go on sale. In no scenario does “a few weeks later” translate to shipments sometime in November. Except maybe one.

Prosser says sales of the entry-level iPhone 12 and (newly renamed) iPhone 12 Plus will begin in mid October (pre-orders week 42, shipping week 43). Consequently, Maestri may have been attempting to ease concerns by referring to only half the new range.

Interestingly, Bloomberg’s always-excellent Mark Gurman disagrees with Prosser, though he hasn’t offered any alternative dates as yet. Speaking to me, Prosser also confirmed they “are 100% what’s in the system right now”, something he states he has seen with his own eyes. So, unless this is an elaborate Apple trap to catch Prosser’s source(s), fans are in for a longer wait.

But will the iPhone 12 range be worth the wait? Perhaps. While upgraders can look forward to new display sizes, including a 5.4-inch iPhone 12 and 6.7-inch iPhone 12 Pro Max, a multi-generational performance leap, impressive new styling, competitive pricing and 3D mapping camera tech on the Pro models, there are concerns. The biggest potential deal breaker is their surprisingly small batteries.  While they have cancelled high refresh rate displays and the notch looks increasingly bad in 2020.

The silver lining? At least you’ll now have more time to make up your mind.
