Nintendo Switch Confirms Release of Dying Light – A Beloved Action Game

The action game got so many love previously on PlayStation, Xbox, and PC platforms is finally headed to the Nintendo Switch. Specifically, that game is from developer Techland – Dying Light. The arrival of the original game on Switch is something that fans have been asking about for quite some time; while the upcoming sequel, Dying Light 2, seemingly won’t be heading to the platform any time soon.

Within recent days on Dying Light’s official Twitter account associated with the game, Techland confirmed the release of Dying Light on Nintendo Switch. Specifically, the studio revealed that the version that would be heading over to Switch is Dying Light Platinum Edition. Notably, this iteration of the game contains all of the added pieces of DLC and expansion content that were released after the initial launch of Dying Light all the way back in 2014. Basically, this iteration will give you everything that you could be looking for if you haven’t played the title before.

Techland is releasing a special physical version of Dying Light that may interest collectors while the game on Switch will be sold in a digital capacity. This physical iteration will come in a unique box that will contain the game itself, a large map, a “survival guide” that features a number of callbacks to the game, and stickers associated with the title.

At this point in time, we’ve got no idea when DyingLight will be coming to Nintendo Switch. A rumor teased that October will be the window in which the game will arrive. But the company has yet to publicly confirm this. Whenever a more specific release date is given, we’ll be sure to update you here.

PlayStation Fans Aren’t Happy With New Free Games

PlayStation Plus subscribers are left unimpressed with a new leak revealing free PlayStation Plus games launching in August for PS4 and PS5 users. The free PS Plus games of July are now available. This is something that PlayStation Players love. But this will only last for a few more days. August’s free game is coming soon.

PlayStation Fans Aren’t Happy With New Free Games

Even so, Sony has yet to reveal its August lineup. But there has been some information that has been leaked. At the time, we noted that the lineup had the worst performer so far this year from the subscription service, and it seems PlayStation fans agree, at least on Reddit.

The leak has revealed the following three games will be made available next month through PlayStation Plus: Plants vs. Zombies: Tennis World Tour 2, Battle for Neighborville and Hunter’s Arena: Legends.

Immediately after the leak, the lineup began to receive the attention of PlayStation fans. On Reddit, the post sharing the leak has received a lot of responses

A top reply said: “Well, this sounds extremely disappointing, skip for me,”. Another reply : “What the hell happened. For the first few months of this year PS+ was great, now it’s back to the sort of s**t they’d struggle to give away.”

The abundance of replies of this kind, including another top answer draw comparisons to Xbox Live Gold, which has frustrated subscribers for months. That said, there has been some positive feedback, including some pointing out that the most recent game, Plants vs. Zombies: Battle for Neighborville, is quality.

One person commented: “Plants vs. Zombies: Battle For Neighborville is an incredibly fun game. Please don’t listen to the people who instantly dismiss it. Give it a chance.”

These criticisms can all be pointless because there’s a chance the leak isn’t accurate. It’s unlikely that it came from the PlayStation website

Call of Duty: Modern Warfare and Warzone Season 6 patch notes are live

The Call of Duty: Modern Warfare and Warzone Season 6 patch is out now. And features playlist updates, bug fixes, map changes, new operators, and more besides.

Infinity Ward has run through the patch – which weighs in at an impressive 20 GB – over on the game’s official site, highlighting just what’s going to be different for anyone booting up the game today.

Yesterday, we saw developer Infinity Ward offer up a pre-load of the massive patch to players on PS4. PC and Xbox users have to download the huge update today, though, if they want to get online and play.

In terms of the big changes that have arrived in the game with the new Season, the subway system has been unlocked on the Warzone map, allowing you to fast travel and opening up new areas to engage in skirmishes with your fellow combatants.

Two new operators, Farah and Nikolai “bring the fight underground” and can be unlocked via Battle Pass, too.

CALL OF DUTY GENERAL FIXES:

  • C4: Slight delay when performing a quick detonation. A beep will now play when quick detonation is triggered. Also reduced throw initial velocity by 30%
  • Fix for a bug where, after reviving a teammate in Survival, there will be a 5 second delay before the user is able to use their weapon again
  • Fix for an issue where players could obtain unlimited Stopping Power rounds
  • Fix for an issue where the defending player had a long respawn timer after the HQ was taken back and all players were dead while in a Headquarters match
  • Fix for an issue where it was possible to put a molotov or grenade into a planted bomb causing it to kill the defusing player

PlayStation 5 will support many PS accessories

Sony recently presented the PlayStation 5 will support the PS4 a lot. And it’s mostly good news if you’re hoping to be able to reuse your existing hardware with the new console.

ps5

PS5 will support other special city peripherals such as licensed arcade joysticks, flying sticks, and racing wheels licensed with both PS5 games and support Ps4 titles.

Sony’s Gold and Platinum wireless headsets, as well as 3.5mm and third-party USB headphones, should also play nicely with the next-generation system.

PlayStation VR-related peripherals will work with the headset. The Move and Aim controllers will work with VR PS games supported on PS5.

The PlayStation camera will also work, although you will have to have a free adapter. Details for the converter will come in the future.

However, you should not expect your DualShock 4 controller to replace PS5‘s DualSense. Although DualShock and its licensed third-party replacers will play PS4 games, you will need a DualSense or a licensed partner for PS5 software.

Games should take advantage of the PS5‘s new capabilities, Sony said, and include DualSense’s features.

The controller’s decision is unfortunate if you hope to use your PS4 gamepad for more local players, but this makes sense with the DualSense functional changes.

More sophisticated trigger activation and haptic feedback can not only provide more than DualShock 4 but also provide an in-game advantage. You may be at a disadvantage if you stick with some PS4 controllers.

ps

This is not a comprehensive list of accessory support and may not answer all your questions. All are the same, obviously, you will only have to pay extra if you need more than one DualSense controller.

That is not in line with Sony’s history. To some extent, it’s an improvement over previous generations, where hardware differences often forced you to throw away many existing accessories.
