Tinder: All user might have to verify their ID

The feature in Tinder will be ‘voluntary’ and launching in the ‘coming quarters.’

ID verification currently only available in Japan. But the company plans to make it accessible to all its users.

For now, we have few details about how this update, which is expected to roll out in “the coming quarters,” will work. In a statement, Tinder said ID verification would “begin as voluntary” and that it would consult with experts to determine “what documents are most appropriate in each country,” and other details.

Tinder execs noted that ID verification can be a “complex and nuanced” issue, and that some users “might have compelling reasons that they can’t or don’t want to share their real-world identity with an online platform.” The company said it’s working with various experts to ensure its approach is “equitable.”

ID verification would be the latest safety update for the dating app, which has added other features meant to reassure users’ about their potential matches’ identity. The company has also implemented an anti-catfishing feature, and Tinder parent company Match Group partnered with background check platform Garbo earlier this year.

Obviously, we’re starting to speculate but today will be releasing an OLED “gaming TVs” when the new console can run at 120Hz and the PC is even better. Affordable 4K OLED 144Hz?

The key to this product finding an audience will lie in the rest of its spec sheet. To make the solution competitive for hardcore gamers it will need exceptionally low input lag, a frequency capable of at least 120Hz (144Hz would be a plus to pass the console audience). Xiaomi has repeatedly expressed its desire to enter the Western gaming market. For the time being, entry into the Western market has been discreet, but the products have interesting features and, above all, a hefty price tag. We’ll have to keep an eye on its parameters during the August 10 announcement.

The feature to set reminders right out of notifications is quite handy, but it still doesn’t work perfectly. You don’t always get a reminder for every notification. Make sure your chat bubble is enabled before performing the next steps. If you don’t know how to enable them, here’s a guide:

1. Tap on the ‘chat bubble’ option on your notification. If the chat bubble is enabled, the ‘message bubble’ will pop up automatically.

3. In the chat bubble, fill in the details of the event and set a reminder, then tap ‘Save’.

After you press the save button, your reminders will be set all from the notification window comfortably. Please note that not all apps receive the same prompt for unknown reasons. Unfortunately, Google hasn’t shared many details about which apps are compatible and which aren’t. However, we can confirm that this feature works on Google Messages.
