Microsoft’s new Surface Pro 7 Plus and Surface Laptop 4 reflected in this quarter’s earnings. The company’s revenue of Surface hardware has fell 20% due to the chip shortage. As known, Surface hardware sales was particularly strong during the same quarter last year from the pandemic.

Meanwhile, Microsoft Office’s consumer product revenue increased 19% and the Business Suite was up 20%. Microsoft reported up 22% Microsoft 365 subscribers for the quarter, up to 51.9 million people. Azure grew by 51%, Cloud revenue is up 34%, and Microsoft’s cloud services revenue is up 53%.

It is expected that later this year, Microsoft will release Windows 11. They hopes to boost Windows OEM revenue. Less PCs are shipping due the chip shortage. Windows OEM and Hardware revenue should stabilize once the chip constraints do the same. It may happen later into 2022.

Huawei is no longer among the Top 5 leading companies in China

Huawei, once a company that threatened Samsung when in second place, has now dropped out of the Top 5 in terms of the global market share. The US trade ban has caused a lot of damage to Huawei. In the past, Huawei has grown very strongly, at least in the Chinese market. But right now, things are looking tough in their home market

The IDC released its Q2 2021 market share report for China, and it noted that Huawei is no longer a top-five company in its home country. Instead, the firm is now found in the “other” category. While this might seem like a small thing to some, the situation itself is severe, to say the least.

Huawei once overtook Apple to take the runner-up position before the trade ban hit. The US sanctions hit the company hard outside of China because the phone doesn’t have any Google support. At first, Huawei was able to rely on the domestic market to keep the phones shipping. However, the current situation shows that sanctions have caused more damage than we thought. As we can see, they have affected the supply chain and sales in the global and home markets

This is made worse by Huawei preparing to launch the P50 series tomorrow. We can’t predict the future of this phone, so let’s wait a couple of months.

Vivo became the top manufacturer in the quarter and achieved 23.8% market share. Oppo ranked second with 21.1% market share and Xiaomi took 17.2% market share. Apple and Honor hold the 4th and 5th positions respectively with 10.9% and 8.9% market share.

Even so, Sony has yet to reveal its August lineup. But there has been some information that has been leaked. At the time, we noted that the lineup had the worst performer so far this year from the subscription service, and it seems PlayStation fans agree, at least on Reddit.

The leak has revealed the following three games will be made available next month through PlayStation Plus: Plants vs. Zombies: Tennis World Tour 2, Battle for Neighborville and Hunter’s Arena: Legends.

Immediately after the leak, the lineup began to receive the attention of PlayStation fans. On Reddit, the post sharing the leak has received a lot of responses

A top reply said: “Well, this sounds extremely disappointing, skip for me,”. Another reply : “What the hell happened. For the first few months of this year PS+ was great, now it’s back to the sort of s**t they’d struggle to give away.”

The abundance of replies of this kind, including another top answer draw comparisons to Xbox Live Gold, which has frustrated subscribers for months. That said, there has been some positive feedback, including some pointing out that the most recent game, Plants vs. Zombies: Battle for Neighborville, is quality.

One person commented: “Plants vs. Zombies: Battle For Neighborville is an incredibly fun game. Please don’t listen to the people who instantly dismiss it. Give it a chance.”

These criticisms can all be pointless because there’s a chance the leak isn’t accurate. It’s unlikely that it came from the PlayStation website

Don’t forget to leave a comment letting us know what you think on the matter.
